The Never Ending Story . . . . .
The Never Ending Story of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the ongoing, intentional process of learning to maintain and enhance skills, knowledge, and competence.
Since the launch in 2018 Firesafe Fire Rated Ductwork have delivered over 200 CIBSE approved CPD’s with everyone participating obtaining a Certificate and points towards their verifiable record of training.
This is particularly important in roles that involve design with fire resisting ductwork systems being an integral part of design in many types of buildings.
Attendees range widely and include architects, consultants, contractors, manufacturers and installers involved in what is regarded as a specialist sector, ensuring the people involved stay current, effective, and competent in their field.
CPD’s also provide a conduit for the sharing of information in an ever changing environment where we can offer guidance and information to all stakeholders within the process to ensure our buildings meet the regulatory requirements and satisfy the latest safety standards.
It also serves to help in the early stages of the design process (prior to Gateway 2) to ensure compatibility of systems that interface with each other and to allow sufficient space and co-ordination of services to ensure fire resisting systems are not unknowingly compromised prior to the construction phase commencing which has been a major problem in the industry.
